There was a bomb explosion on 14 February 2012 along the Kagam Bum road side in Htung Hku Laika mountain under KIA 5th Brigade control area. The explosion killed about 20 Burmese soldiers from Hk.M.Y.(389), it was due to the Burmese soldiers intrusion into KIA restricted and control areas.
The same day evening on 14 February 2012 at 4:12pm to until 6pm, there was fierce arm clash between KIA 5th Bridge forces and Burmese soldiers. Burmese soldiers are crossing into N Ting Mai Tawng road of KIA 5th control area thus KIA forces led by Lieutenant Major Du Kaba Gum Sau clash face to face each other. According to Kachin Net report, the exact numbers of casualties were not known yet. Burmese Army is continue to build up soldiers and weapons all over the KIA control areas as well as Kachin States. Inspite of during discussion with KIA/KIO and other ethnic groups for possible cease fire or peace agreement. However Burmese army continue attacking KIA cited that no real intention for national reconciliation, but just for the sake of gaining international attentions and expect to lift up sanctions against regime government.
