We have confirmed report from rape victim of Burmese Soldier who is 40 year old Kachin woman. This is not the first such case but Buermese soldiers used rape as weapon to against women in Kachin State Burma. according to eyes witness identified that a soldier from Burmese battalion based hk-L-y (68) based in Lashio City Shan State commited brutal rape against 40 year old Kachin Lady. The same Burmese battalion is under command of Bu Kyaw Haing under Shan State. The rape took placed on 05 June 2012, at about (11pm) local tme in Hanggai village at the voctim home. A Burmese soldier broke into the victim home through her window. The soldier then committed brutal rape against mother of (6) childrens. The soldier then fled from victm (Ms Lahpai Kaw) not her real name, home. The next day morning the rape case was reported to Bu Kyaw Haing commander Burmese battalion. However, Bu Kyaw Haing then hide the soldier in safe place then denied charges against the soldier. He just simply said it was somebody else that commited the rape to the infomant that reporting about the case. The remote village has only (10) households and Burmese soldiers are offten carrier out brutal rape againsts Kachin women in deserted villages according to eye witness reports. We urgently appeal UN, USA,UK and world leaders to take immediate actions against Burmese military and regime government brutality,rape,torture and killing of Kachin civilian. Kachin people reuest UN to help Kachin internal displaced (IDP) in Kachin State, Burma for ugently needes supplies and food for children and women.
